DWARS Gelderland is the local chapter of the youth organisation of GroenLinks (GreenLeft), the Dutch Green Party. We cover the entire province of Gelderland, including the student cities of Arnhem, Nijmegen, and Wageningen. In Gelderland, we not only concern ourselves with green/sustainable, social, and ‘vrijzinnige’ (socially-liberal progressive) issues at a local level, but we also organise many events for our members, sympathisers, and local under28s, whether they be student, pupil, or already working. These range from activism (think: climate strikes), lectures (perhaps about ageism and ableism) to social events (like karaoke or our monthly drinks).
You’re always welcome, but some events might not be perfectly suitable for non-Dutch speakers. Whenever an event does not require good knowledge of Dutch, it will be clearly stated in the event description and will feature a short English summary of the event. We hope to see you there!
